★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No social distancing whatsoever during boarding abd leaving the boat. Nobody there to male sure people wear their masks and keep their distance during the sailing either. Not acceptable at all during a global pandemic with rising numbers in the Netherlands as well. I wish they found a way to employ additional security staff or so in order to protect vulnerable people and society in general.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Speedboat, if you take the speed boat, be prepared that there is no connection bus when you arrived Schoermonnikoog island. Slow boat might be better if you plan to take bus. Speedboat connects with taxi, though, be sure to reserve.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was quite crowded on our return. Neither on the way to Schiermonnikoog nor on the way back could we find a place to sit by the window to enjoy the view on the water. But I cannot blame the company for that; after 18 km walk on the island the day before, my legs were resisting my wish to rush into the boat and get the best seat ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ???generally speaking don’t take the speedboat as there is no connecting bus to the village and bike rent are pointless without reservations if you are with kid and looking for a bakfiets. I really don’t understand the point of speed boat ?♀️
