En wat het ergste was, ze deden geen corona check...gelukkig was er verder maar 1 tafel bezet die ver van onze tafel was, anders waren we weg gegaan. Food is fine, prices too, but conviviality is hard to find. And worst of all, they didn't do a corona check... luckily only 1 table was occupied which was far from our table, otherwise we would have left.

We waren niet enthousiast en vonden gelukkig een Chinees restaurant bij Huis ter Heide wat wel naar onze smaak was. Helaas is die vorig jaar ermee opgehouden waardoor we onlangs opnieuw Wah-Nam uitgeprobeerd hebben. De smaak van de gerechten was jammergenoeg niet bijzonder, de groenten waren wel goed vers en het vlees was zacht... maar zowel de hoofdgerechten als de rijst proefden flink vettig, net alsof er reuzel gebruikt was. Mijn spijsvertering reageerde ook niet veel later ook overeenkomstig. En was dat wel echt ossenhaas die in de "tjap tjoy met ossenhaas" zat? When we first moved here, we tried it over 10 years ago. We were not enthusiastic and luckily found a Chinese restaurant at Huis ter Heide which was to our taste. Unfortunately, it stopped working last year, so we recently tried Wah-Nam again. The taste of the dishes was unfortunately not special, the vegetables were fresh and the meat was tender... but both the main courses and the rice tasted quite greasy, as if lard had been used. My digestive system also reacted accordingly not much later. And was that really tenderloin that was in the "tjap tjoy with tenderloin"?
