β β β β β When I go and visit my family in Zeeland, most of them live in Brouwershaven, I always visit de kleine Schorre in Dreischor. Because the fields where once flooded by salt water and because of the salt water climate, the ground is perfect for grapes. What I mostly do when Iβm with another person, I order one glass of wine of every wine they have (small glasses, around 2,60 euros per tasting glass) to share with the other one, and order some bites on the side. They have this a-ma-zing platter with lots of fish, local cheeses, meats and more, and itβs not expensive.

β β β β β When we arrived we were a bit surprised that the only food available was the set menu - two choices of starter, two for the main course and one choice of dessert. Especially as I'm a fussy eater.
But each course was really fresh and delicious!
I'd really recommend this place!

β β β β β Today I explored a bit Schouwen-Duiveland and noticed this little vineyard in Dreischor. As my curiousity lead me to their shop I could not resist to buy one of their wines 'Rivaner 2018'. I was not sure what to expect (wine made of grapes from Zeeland?) .So as soon as I arrived home I opened this bottle. OMG, I could not believe the quality of this wine, a little sweet sour taste sensation with a bit of fresh minirals in between (I am not a professional wine critic, but I do taste a lot of wines in my spare time:-). After this experience I will recommend this winery and will definitely go back...as I am also curious to try their Pinot Grigio. ?

β β β β β The lunch platter for β¬12 per person was an insanely good value deal. I don't think I've ever had this varied and culinary lunch for such a price.

β β β β β Nice place for a bite and some wine tasting. Personally I'm not really enthousiast about the wine but the food was good. It's a good visit when you're around. You can visit the wine makery.
And don't forget to taste the grappa they produce.

β β β β β When you visit Zeeland don't leave before visiting De kleine Schorre. Awesome that little Holland can produce their own wines!! Buy a bottle in the shop or arrange a wine taste (for groups only) lunches and dinner possible.
