Boutique Hotel Zeeuws-Meisje - Hoofdpoortstraat 2A

Following on from my earlier review and the reply from the owner. A few days after the review I wrote the owner called me in response to my review. The first thing he needed to address was how damaging my review was to his business, how he had just started out and how much we are damaging him. He then said he wanted the review removed and he wanted to make it good and for me to write a better one, because his hotel only ever gets 5 star good reviews. He offered us a free night in the hotel, saying that he had fixed the air co and changed the blankets. All I wanted was to be heard by him but as soon as I started trying to explain our experience he said , 'Yes but you are talking about yourself now'. I couldnt get a word in edgeways, all he wanted was the review removed. I said that I would talk to my partner about whether that would be ok to go and stay there again and that we needed to think about it. We didnt even really want to go back there and especially given how we were handled when he called us it did not feel welcoming. We decided however a few days later to accept and try to make a bad experience good again and we agreed to remove the review when our new booking was made. We were hoping to write a good review again and give it a chance since we also realise a bad review is not good for a business. Unfortunately, I didnt get any reply to my reply about this and that we would accept and then saw this reply. Sadly, it seems that any review that is not 5 star is not acceptable to this business and if the feedback is any less it needs to be immediately deleted, which we are bullied into and then made to look like we are just trying to get something. It simply does not add up to them that a customer can experience something less than they think themselves about the business and now we are 'not welcome back there again'. What an awful experience for us as customers, we dont want to ever go back here anyway. Good luck!

Our stay at this lovely hotel was amazing. The hotel is beautifully decorated and every detail has been carefully thought out, which made our stay one to remember. Thanks to the lovely staff and modern finish!

Generous hospitality, delicious dinner and cosy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Extraordinary staff, pretty design and details...liked the welcome cava in the fridge and the rituals bathroom items. Duvet very cozy. Mattress comfy. Atmosphere in the restaurant soooo nice. Nice music, staff and acoustic. Food very very yummy. Breakfast at 9.30 was manageable and mostly empty but got refilled when asked for. Good to know: no bathroom/toilet door in the family room.

We stayed in Boutique Hotel Zeeuws-Meisje by the end of June 2021. Everything was like as seen in the pictures online. There were no ugly surproses. The staff were kind and friendly. The room was spacious and clean. We even got Prosecco as a gift in our fridge? The hotel restaurant offers a good variety of wine, the food was delicious, and the portion sizes were fulfilling. I definitely recommend this hotel, and while you stay there, don’t miss the delicious breakfast ☺️

We stayed for one night and we had an excellent experience. The lady at the reception was very welcoming and help us with our E-Bikes (they have an indoor locked storage for them!!!). Our room was great, coffee, tea, PROSECO and Ritual’s products for free. We had an apero at their restaurant, the owner was extremelly nice to us and explained his evening menu, saddly we had already another reservation, he told us that the other restaurant is very good! After dinner we stopped by the bar and we had a good time drinking excellent wine. The room was very clean and quiet, beds confortable! The breakfast is also very good. I have nothing to complain, they make me feel very confortable.

Fantastic restaurant and wine bar. Really tasty dishes. Really good selection of wine. Very romantic setting ;-) perfect for an upscale dinner date.

Fantastic and stylish place with a great breakfast. Loved it! Great location by the old port in beautiful Zierikzee.
