About Wintertuin Experience
Frank Muyser was zoon van de hortulanus van het Cantonspark. Hij woonde ín het Cantonspark en bracht er zijn jeugd door. In een rondwandeling van 30 minuten neemt hij u mee naar de plekken die voor hem belangrijk zijn geweest en waar hij nog vaak komt om de herinneringen levend te houden.
Zijn verhalen gaan over het begin van zijn muziekleven (o.s. als gitarist van Les Baroques die repeteerden in de kassen in het park), de Colonnade waar hij nog altijd praat met zijn overleden Engelse moeder, en over de feesten in de schuur (tot ergernis van de buurt). Maar ook over de boomhut waar hij veel vertoefde (en uit is gevallen) en de schoolfeesten in het park waarbij de hele klas aanwezig was.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Location, building and interior marvelous, the service really okay, but the food is mediocre. An 8 euro sandwich made with standard toast from the supermarket is way too overpriced. Improve the food and this venue is a winner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful garden, history is the root of the game you can play here. The mystery to be solved lies in the very past of the Netherlands and the university if Utrecht. After an introduction of the staff you convene your team and start running and searching around the garden to collect clues and characters in order to unlock the mysterious box. Within an hour you have to find the clues and meet the historic figures of the garden. We managed really well and enjoyed it a lot.
Followed by a good lunch, including a vegan option we had a nice day out in baarn.
This experience made me curious to also try their escape room... Who knows, next birthday party we'll try it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely perfect for a #sunny warm day, sitting outside) and inside for a colder day. The waitresses were lovely and very helpful. I highly recommend the vegan Banana #cake. It was surprisingly tasty❤ Very much recommend this place and the garden around it. Very peaceful and beautiful.
