In 1931 is begonnen aan de bouw van dit statige pand in opdracht van de toenmalige burgemeester, van Woelderen. Sinds 1995 is het pand een rijksmonument.
Het pand is niet toegankelijk voor publiek maar wordt door Johan van der Werf, oud topman van Aegon gebruikt als zomerverblijf. Hij heeft het hele pand tussen 1997 en 1999 ook geheel laten restaureren.
Very nice villa at the head of the boulevard Evertsen, when one comes driving on the boulevard this building is not to be missed.
In 1931, the construction of this stately building was commissioned by the then mayor, van Woelderen. The building has been a national monument since 1995.
The building is not open to the public, but is used as a summer residence by Johan van der Werf, former Aegon executive. He also had the entire building completely restored between 1997 and 1999.
