I would like to take the time to make a formal complaint about the way in which we were treated by Wooncompany throughout the last 3 years in which they managed the apartment in which we lived. I have documentation (emails and photographs) that shows how throughout the past years I had been asking Wooncompany to solve a severe mold problem in the bathroom.Repeatedly you replied that it was our problem to solve: even thought we tried many different products and asked for help when the issue did not get solved you showed no empathy. Just before leaving the apartment, after an inspection by your colleague a structural problem was indeed detected and an specialist came to see the bathroom and plan some works before offering the apartment again. This left us with the certainty that there was always a problem concerning ventilation and the measurements of a door and that the company never took notice to help us out. This led to us being continuously sick with allergies. We also had to apply toxic products to the bathroom's ceiling every once in a while. The second issue has to do with the renting of apartment 8 as an Airbnb since the month of January 2020. Not only we did not receive any notice, but after the apartment was rented I had to contact the company on different occasions pointing out loud parties and inconveniences due to the new situation. In different occasions guests of the airbnb came to our place to ask for towels or where to dispose solid waste. This became particularly hard during the month of May and June, when the apartment started being rented again even though the pandemic had not been solved. The fact that we had to share the small of space of the stairs with people coming and going went in detriment to our peace and health and as I stated in my last email to complain, it was the reason why we were pushed into moving out after years of living there. The company left us to negotiate with the bar owners who were in turn renting the airbnb which was hard as we did not have the disposition to get into a fight with the neighbors. In two occasions the bar owners suggested we should leave the apartment if we were unhappy about the Airbnb situation. I have made some research and know that the bar owners did not have any permit with the municipality to rent that apartment as an Airbnb. This not only goes against the regulations but also shows the complete disregard that the company had for us as renters of Veenkade 8A. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PEOPLE IF YOU ARE NOT DUTCH

The best agency when looking to rent a home in The Hague. In our search for a place we had been in contact with just about every housing company in The Hague, and found it surprising how unpleasant most agents ended up being. As soon as we got in touch with the WoonCompany however (Sander was our agent) we were able to rent a place within 3 days! The Wooncompany was friendly, respectful and worked for us with a sense of urgency.

Over the last five years I have rented two places with Wooncompany and they have been consistently reliable, serious and trustworthy. Exactly what I needed coming from abroad and having to quickly settle in The Hague. I particularly appreciated their availability to fix problems fast and ensure perfect maintenance. Last but not least, the deposit for each apartment I rented was quickly reimburse in its entirety.

Just read all the other bad reviews here, and you will get an idea. All of them are almost exactly as my experience with this company, I have been renting with them for almost a year. The house has mold problems due to a leakage that started in February, a defective water boiler since I came, sewage system in very bad state that smells from the underground also since I came, bad smell from the dishwasher since April, garden in very bad state - not painted, rotten furniture, etc... And paying a very high rent price. Basically this house hasnt had any type of maintenance care in years. Its been 10 months since I started complaining via email and I have heard all types of excuses from them so far, so I had to turn to a lawyer. I guess they expect Expats not to seek legal help. Shameful service.

Over the last 10 years I have used Wooncompany to let my apartments. They were always able to find good, reliable tenants in a short space of time and dealt with the contracts smoothly. If ever an issue came up, they provided me as well as the tenant with the information we needed. They do business in a friendly way which appeals to me a lot. I would recommend Wooncompany to homeowners as well as tenants.

They helped me find a new apartment within a week! Very nice people, they communicate very pro-actively and keep you up-to-date along every step of the way.

Wooncompany and Sander helped us with the purchase of a house. Given the current house market situation, their assistance was very important. Very good communication and Sander was/is always willing to answer our questions and provide good tips. He has a very good view of the market and he is very friendly. We really enjoyed the whole process, despite the difficulties of the Dutch house market.

Wooncompany helped us buy a house last year and we were very happy with them. Sander and Rutger were very responsive and proactive throughout the whole process, they paid attention to what we were looking for and helped us find an apartment that we love. We would definitely recommend them.
