★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located at Singel, just around the corner from Gastmolensteeg and less than 5 minutes walk from Dam Square, YellowKorner is encompassed by the 9 Streets.
In large well lit surroundings, it is a combination of art gallery and photographic studio. Admission is free and it is easy to loose all sense of time while admiring the astonishing collection of works of art in all genres such as modern, classic, contemporary, vintage, futuristic, pop, etc. There is something to satisfy all tastes.
The attention to detail to the prints and frames is superb and these fall into the category of "museum quality" as it is known in the trade.
Many of the prints are limited editions by world renowned artists such as Bernard Hartmann, Formento + Formento, Laurent Baheux, Lee Jeffrey's, Ludwig Favre and Matthieu Ricard. There are also many works from new and upcoming artists. Prices range from around €100 to many thousands.
Noticeably, there are many shrewd and savvy younger buyers who see this as an alternative investment to cryptocurrencies and stocks and shares, or as a means of diversifying existing portfolios.
