★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were just around the corner in the gamecenter and we were hungry. So we saw this Japanese restaurant and thought, why not try it? Inside we could choose between the sushi bar and the tepanyaki grill. We went for the tepanyaki. And... I have to say we were positively surprised. The prices might be a bit higher but I can say it was totally worth it. The quality of the food as the "show" you get at the grill is top and even fun. If i ever go to Eindhoven again, this will be one of my "to go" spots! We both had the yamato menu with the bento box as a starter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family have been guests at Yokohama for their teppanyaki for many years. We are happy the restaurant is open again, but also a stark realization of the real struggles restauranteurs have faced during covid, financially and also with staff. Many waitresses who we were served by in the past years have changed jobs during covid, and you can see that they are doing their best to train new staff. We wish all the best to Yokohama, and look forward to dining here again. Hang in there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good sushi from high quality fish but unfortunately very poor service. The restaurant saves on staff. Young students try to cope with the rush of guests but do not manage and overlook guests, do not clear plates...On top it all, it is frizing cold in the restaurant. Service is as important as food. The owner who does not realize this is doing something wrong. Money is being saved at the wrong end here. What a pity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I was sixteen I wanted to try sushi with my girlfriend. We went to this place and ordered a boat. It was weird and we didn't know if we liked it. A couple of days later the craving started and it never went away. Love the non-lingering kick from wasabi.
Back then it was the only place where you could get sushi. At some point it became a trend, and now even the snack bars are offering sushi speciaal.
This place hasn't changed much. It's a bit smaller but the quality is still very good. For instance: their unagi is still warm when you order it. Would love to see some new additions like foie gras or scallop sushi.
