★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brought in 15g of 18kt and they tried to sell it off as 14kt. I figured I'd get a second opinion as the (albeit foreign) French eagle hallmark is an official French hallmark indicating 18kt. I went to another jeweler who tested the bracelet to be at least 18kt, alas they weren't buying. So I took to the streets again and found van Wou jewelers.
Here the bracelet was tested again, and once more found to be 18kt. The bracelet was solid so the jeweler snipped it and tested the inside as well; 18kt again.
I would be wary selling my gold here, without a second opinion.
Wow. The reaction of the owner accusing me of "fooling" anybody, even though my gold was thoroughly tested, should tell you enough about the professionalism of this place. Absolutely shocking.
