★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aalmoezeniersbrug (Bridge 68), or the the Almoners Bridge, is a plate bridge on the Leidsestraat and spans the Prinsengracht. It has three under passages with natural stone abutments and balustrades of decorative iron work. The name comes from the alms house and orphanage that for more than 100 years was located on the Prinsengracht next to the former Amsterdam Palace of Justice. The bridge carries pedestrian and tram traffic only.
