If I remember correctly, don't use your smartphone while ordering. Price might double :) Worth the visit and the Coffee. Got stickers with the motto (Make coffee, not war!) and the owner is cool! Groeten uit Brazilië!

Your Italian espresso in the morning doesn’t come much better than this. Located next to the IJplein ferry, this makes for the perfect spot to enjoy a shot of caffeine in the morning sun (or take it with you on the ferry when it rains). Coffee is a tad pricey, hence 4 stars instead of 5.

This place is my second home, whenever I have time I go there with my family. Best coffee in town, amazing sandwiches and amazing atmosphere. All this while watching the ships pass you by on the ij. A must go to whenever you’re in amsterdam. Also a nice peaceful escape from the busy city center!!!

As a proud italian living in Amsterdam, I choose my coffee spots wisely. Silvia has been providing unmatchable quality, service and charm since 2007, when I moved to Amsterdam NOORD. - the coffee service is fast. You get what you ask just in time to get the boat, italian style - im a capuccino lover, and Silvia sources her milk from the nearby farm, I have seen the farmer making the delivery herself. - the lemon cake. She bakes her locally famous cake every week at home. Her recepit it s true to the most delicious italian tradition. - the sandiwch? I am dreaming about the vegan delight every lunchtime. It s a different kind of vegan, the one that comes with aubergines so oily that your mouth waters only by watching them. - and well, Silvia. Never, ever, failed a smile, even during difficult or cold windy days. Her beauty reflects in the charm and positivity of this unique location. Thanks for all

Good coffee & friendly service. The ferries are free. You don't need a ticket.

Relatively good coffee for a slap and dash transient-type cafe - slightly better than “kiosk” coffee for instance. Food is pretty great - fresh quality ingredients! Lacks in the smaller details like no kids-sized hot chocolate (also not so willing to divide the portion into two smaller cups). Often no takeaway items like lids or cup dispensers which makes it impossible to order beverages for more than 1 person. This is particularly odd since the pandemic has been dragging on for over a year now and covid or not, the cafe specifically targets travellers... Friendly staff though at times inflexible. Convenient location. If I was desperate for a coffee or a sandwich I might poke my head in the window, but generally I’d not mind or go elsewhere. No real draw card except the view and convenience. That’s definitely worth keeping it alive.
