Positive: Location is great, reception staff are nice. Even though we needa check in at a different place, it wasn’t so difficult.. Negative: We were told that the cleaner would come on every second day however we stayed for 4 nights, it was no ever cleaned once..

Positive: The room was big, and apparently very good and the position in the same way but all end here!!!!. Negative: Not clean in the right way. price too high compared to the service. Some details was terrible: Soap dispenser, dirty pans and a terrible electric stove, shower curtain. I found bulbs broken. I had to ask to fix these things one day, to bring back tea and coffee another day. But the worse thing was stuff. I went from the room on sunday and I unfortunatelly forgot my mac charger. I advise immediately the staff to take it as soon as possible and send it at my expence. Pratically stolen!!! Many years that I travel to Amsterdam and the world, but something like this has never happened to me!.

We had booked Canal Suite for April of 2020. We had pre paid the balance but with lock down all flights from Ireland were cancelled for that specific time period. It was impossible for us to Travel to Amsterdam. Judith owner of Canal Suites advised me to cancel my booking and said I would get a refund of 80 percent of the money I paid when she had someone else book for those dates. I queried this as I said would she get a booking for those dates with the pandemic? I requested about 10 times by email was it possible to change my trip dates as I was rescheduling the flights anyway, she wouldn't let me move my trip and said that wasn't possible,, but wouldn't tell me why. She said that there was no lock down in Amsterdam and she would rent it out again and give me back most of my money. Nobody booked for the dates of my trip and closer to the dates I was supposed to travel she made contact with me to say that I would get nothing back. When I rang her to express my shock that she was keeping my money and reiterate that I physically couldn't travel she was rude and when I questioned her about it she hung up on me and blocked me from being able to call her. while talking to her on the phone I asked her why was she keeping my money, she had no costs with my travel as I never made it. She said she was keeping my money it was in her bank and it was my own fault for booking a pre paid room. Under Normal circumstances I would appreciate that it was a pre paid room but this was exceptional circumstances, all flights had been grounded in my country and I get if she couldn't give me a refund but anything else I had booked people were allowing you to postpone and re book. I couldn't understand why she wouldn't let me move my dates, she was basically saying I have a chance to keep your money and I am. I would not recommend booking this property ever!!! Myself and my husband have stayed in Amsterdam many times and this was the first time I have ever had an experience with accommodation, she was absolutely her professionalism able in her policy and . I never normally write a bad review but wanted to let anyone know that was considering booking her accommodation my experience. I had to give the one star to post the booking but I wouldn't even give that, I would avoid this place at all costs.

Positive: The apartment was located in an excellent location. It had all the necessary facilities required for a 7-day stay. The service included cleaning every other day, which I appreciated. The staff were very helpful throughout my whole time in Amsterdam and provided me with all the advice and needed support, always in a very positive manner. Overall my experience with Amsterdam Canal Suites has been an excellent one and I look forward to my next booking with them when I get back to Amsterdam..
