β β β β β I really recommend visiting this museum when you're in Amsterdam. You get a tour with your ticket, so you don't end up wandering around like in other museums - instead you get a in-depth look into the pipe history. The guide is very knowledgeable - he knew the answers to all our questions, even if they weren't about pipes.

β β β β β A really worth going gem i found in the center area! It's in a beautiful canal house, the private collection is so amazing! Super nice guide shows you the history of pipe and tobacco, i found it unexpectedly interesting as a non smoker. You can also get a cute Dutch clay pipe after the tour, which will be a very special gift from the NL :)

β β β β β Unlike most other Amsterdam museums, you won't get an audio guide for the tour. Instead, a staff member will give you a personal tour of the various pipe collections and explain the history of each piece to you. It's a lot less crowded than other museums, and definitely worth a visit if you already have the museumkaart/iamsterdam card. The tour itself was very informative and the staff were very friendly.

β β β β β This museum is such an amazing underrated gem. You get a private tour with a very knowledgeable guide who walks you through the fascinating history of pipe making, explaining all about the different materials and decorations. Most of the pipes on display are absolute works of art. Give it a try while in Amsterdam!

β β β β β Incredible experience!!
This was one of my favorite experiences in all of Amsterdam. We were given a private tour of their collection of pipes spanning from 500bc till the 20th century. The hosts were super friendly and we learned so much from their expertise even though we donβt smoke.
They are a small private collection so go support them as we bounce back from covid!
(Included on many cards such as iamsterdam)

β β β β β Lovely and unexpected experience to be tried while in Amsterdam. The museum is small but it is well worth it. The guide gave us a walk through the pipe history, which I can definitely say was way more fascinating than I initially expected. If you want to visit an unconventional exhibit, this is the place to go.

β β β β β It is a small museum with charm : You get a private guided tour with the entry (you have to make a reservation per email first for it, because of Corona), and it is really worth it - the guide was nice and took time to explain us through the history of tobacco/pipe, he can speak Dutch/German/English.
The museum itself is a small charming old Dutch house (even if you are not interested on pipe/tobacco, the house architecture/interior itself would amaze you).
I was there to accompany my friend (who is a pipe smoker), but the visit was interesting for me and I definitely learned more about history of pipe :)
