About Rembrandts Amsterdam Experience
In 1658 ging Rembrandt failliet. Het enorme huis (Rembrandthuis) waar hij woonde was te duur en zijn inboedel werd geveild. Dankzij een juridisch slimmigheidje kwam hij in dienst van zijn nieuwe vrouw Hendrickje en zoon Titus. Hij kon zo zijn werkzaamheden als schilder doorzetten, zonder last te hebben van de schuldeisers. Rembrandt betrok met zijn gezin een huis aan de Rozengracht, vlakbij de Westerkerk.
Deze buurt was in die tijd een soort nieuwbouwwijk van Amsterdam. In deze periode heeft Rembrandt veel van zijn beste schilderijen gemaakt, zijn ‘laatste werken’. Deze schilderijen hadden een andere stijl dan zijn eerdere werk en waren in strijd met de fijne, gedetailleerde schilderstijl die in die tijd populair was. Rembrandt experimenteerde met krachtige penseelstreken en licht. Hij wist hierdoor een emotionele diepgang in zijn werk te brengen.

We had a lot of fun being completely immersed into the world of this great painter and artist.
The way the 5d show is constructed and realized is very nice, personal and very informative whilst always staying very easy and entertaining!
The personell was extremely nice and welcoming as well and super helpful and sweet to us!

I spent an enjoyable half an hour were I could also get more details about the life of the most important Dutch painter from golden age. The way Rembrandt's life story is narrated, the way the two rooms are furnished, the colours, the lights, the special effects on the painters' pictures, reminded Harry Potter' s movies. It is a great experience for families with children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a fantastic experience. I enjoyed the whole show in the two chambers. Every chamber has its own enjoyable facts. I will recommend this to all my friends to go to this experience before they go to the Rijksmuseum. They will understand such more of the life and works of Rembrandt.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A new fantastic way to learn about Rembrandt. It's available in a couple of languages and it's great for groups and families. The whole experience feels really magical. The way the story is being told to you reminded me of the talking portraits from the Harry Potter movies, and as I found out later, that was the inspiration for the place. A friend asked me what did I like the most and I got to say... Martin, and how happy and excited he is to lead you through it. Highly recommend. Don't think about it, just visit it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great Rembrandt experience. It was a creative and amazingly visual way to know more about Rembrandt and his life. The visual effects were awesome and it felt as if we were there with Rembrandt at the show. The experience is at prime location and organizers have taken genuine time to research and craft it in likable way. The employees were courteous and happy to answer all our questions. If you're visiting Amsterdam, this place is worth a visit following next paragraph.
One piece of feedback, I felt 12.5 Euros was too much for few minutes of experience. If you could add even more rooms to entertainment or reduce price, that would make it a fair price. I understand why cost is too high, less tourists, prime location, novel concept, but still I had to think twice before purchasing tickets.
Great work, keep it up and looking forward to seeing many more experiences like this one.
