★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vanaf 1942 werden als onderdeel van de Festung IJmuiden in het gebied Midden Heerenduin een anti-tankmuur en een betonnen kantelblokversperring aangelegd en aan de IJmuiderslag de Marine Seeziel Batterie Heerenduin een batterij met vuurleidingspost en flankerende geschutsbunkers -, de Marine Flak Batterie Olmen (luchtdoelbatterij) en verder anti-tankmuren en Hockerhindernissen (rijen betonnen drakentanden).
As part of the Festung IJmuiden, an anti-tank wall and a concrete tilting block barrier were constructed in the Midden Heerenduin area as part of the Festung IJmuiden and on the IJmuiderslag the Marine Seeziel Batterie Heerenduin a battery with fire control post and flanking artillery bunkers -, the Marine Flak Batterie Olmen (anti-aircraft battery) and also anti-tank walls and Hocker obstacles (rows of concrete dragon's teeth).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gut versteckt in den Dünen liegen die Mauerreste und die dreieckigen Betonklötze. Bin nicht ganz Ran, da dort Hirsche in der Sonne lagen.
The remains of the wall and the triangular concrete blocks are well hidden in the dunes. Not quite Ran, as there were deer lying in the sun.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Weg nicht zu finden, alles zugewachsen. 10 Minuten lang gesucht, man müsste sich wohl durch die Büsche schlagen. Keine Beschilderung. Wird sind dann auf den höchsten Hügel rauf, da konnte man die Mauer von weitem sehen, das hat uns dann gereicht
No way to be found, everything overgrown. Searched for 10 minutes, you would have to fight your way through the bushes. No signage. We are then up to the highest hill, there you could see the wall from afar, that was enough for us
