★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dit Rijksmonument is gebouwd als Asschuur. Mogelijk verklaard dat de onlogische schuine muren. Het haard as had nl waarde en werd ingezameld om verkocht te worden voor zeep en glas productie. In Gouda was oa op de Oosthaven een zeep fabriek. Nadat het niet langer nodig was om as in te zamelen kwam hier, aan de rand van de stad, de gemeente reiniging te zitten. Met paard en wagen werd het afval opgehaald en konden de schepen langs de kade aanmeren. Later heeft de jongeren Societeit So What zich er in gevestigd. Toen zijn ook de grote wijzigingen aan het uiterlijk van het pand doorgevoerd. Met name toen er woningbouw rond het pand verscheen en er risico op geluidsoverlast kwam. De ramen zijn dicht gemetseld. De 3 stel staldeuren aan de zuidzijde zijn verwijderd. Daarvoor is een geluidssluis geplaatst. Ook binnen zijn er ingrijpende aanpassingen gemaakt. Het volledige geluidsisolatie pakket op de zoldervloer maakte de slechte beloopbaarheid tgv de toch al lage spanten nog meer onmogelijk. De horizontale spant delen zijn dus aangepast en verhoogd. Al dus een voormalig bestuurslid.
