β β β β β I will never ever hire a car from Avis via British Airways again.
If you are not carefull you will have to pay up to a few thousand Euros upfront if you have an accident until the case is settled.
What makes me most angry is that it takes longer time to get hold of the hire car than the actual flight from London so if you hire from Avis allow an exsta hour at least to your travelling time.
First there is a a long queue they are completely understaffed however the two staff available seems to have all the time in the world for each costomer so it takes forever. When it is your turn the typing into the damn computers will no end take. An absolute nightmare. When I picked up the car the person said he had already inspected the car and all was fine. He said I could check if I wanted so I did a round but saw nothing. When I brought it back though it was another story. A young person, new in the job told me that there was a dent on the front rim left rim. I only rented the car two days, drove for 4 hours and had no incidents so it was not me. He insisted it was my responsibility and I should have checked the car probably. I then pointed out that there were dents on all 4 wheels and asked why he was only pointing one dent out to me?. He simply just picked the first dent he saw in order to get money from me. As I was insured he said that I should not worry but I informed him that that is insuance fraught. I did not want to accept responsibility for something I have not done. Avis in Schipol are nothing but crooks, no matter how carefully you check the car they will find something. If you are silly enough to rent from them remember to bring a magnifying glass as they expect the ordinary man or woman to inspect every little detail and every scratch on the rims. On the photo everyone with knowledge about aluminium can see this is an old dent since the surface of the dent is corroded. I can strongly advise never to get involved with Avis in Schiphol they are crooks.

β β β β β I found problem with the car which is quite disgusting. every time the pop up comes saying running out of fuel and fined the nearest fuel station. The pop up is quite annoying especially knowing that most of the people are driving on google maps when travelling to other countries.
Hopefully the condition checked before hand out the vehicle on rent.

β β β β β I wanted to extend my contract with one week, for 2 days I tried to call the mentioned number on the contract in vain. I also sent mail to the mentioned mail address, no respone. Also customer service is very bad, send an e-mail to help and got notice they will get back in 10 working days. So, I had to drive to Shiphol, deliver car and pick up a new one....People could not believe this on social media......good warning...

β β β β β Extremely poor service at AVIS overall. If you have questions regarding invoicing -- you will never get throw their client support.
I've been overcharged more than 100 euros and AVIS confirmed that is "strange", but they never called me back or replied to my email to customer support.
Money still not returned. Answers not given.
Been loyal to them for years, but no more.

β β β β β The car was prefect, service as well. Would like to point out that it would be better if in the tall at the airport a clerk should use a speaker to be better understood. The noise at the airport was quite disturbing and couldn't understand the clerk properly. beside that all was good.

β β β β β The most convenient place to rent a car at. Very clear, concise and thorough. The representative takes his/her time to explain all the things you need to know. So far the best car rental company I have rented from over the years, but everything comes with its price.

They make you sign on a digital screen and when there are unexpected costs they say you signed for it.
Copy paste !!
Be Aware:
The version of the rental agreement that you signed digitally may be different from the paper copy that they give you.
Also:
β¬42.35 exc. tax for sending a copy of a speeding ticket to you.
Petrol: β¬4.40 ex tax per liter + 18 euro refilling fee !!
Wintertyres: 35 a day + tax
When damage: you are also PAYING for the Days that the car can NOT BE RENTED untill itβs fixed.
Childseats: β¬65,- unsafe and disgusting!!
COVID rules are a joke!!
This whole place is mismanaged and run by a chain of idiots.
Unfortunately my company has a contract with Avis. I will strongly suggest a different provider to my employer
It really seems the place is mis-managed.
