★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A quick meet-up for a coffee in the middle of the work day is now an actual thing in Amsterdam! With this latest lockdown now 90% lifted, we can dine in again - woohoo! And the Bakkerswinkel in Westerpark is an ideal spot for it. Housed in an old workhouse / fabrik in the West of town, de Bakkerswinkel has a broad range of soups, snacks and deserts to please anyone. It's roomy, well ventilated and has plenty of natural light.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful location right at the entrance of the Westerpark, so naturally with a great view from the outside terrace and a cosy ambience inside; large space with lots of place to sit. Built in an old factory building, the cafe looks beautiful and unique. Nice place for a coffee and cake. Very friendly staff, do ask for recommendations and specials of the day!

The sandwiches and quiches were delicious and the ingredients really fresh. The jam and juice were also good. I was not convinced by the cakes, because they were really heavy for my stomach (a lot of butter and sugar) and they did not look like that fresh.
The place was cozy and staff polite and friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bakkerswinkel Westerpark Amsterdam is a delicious baked goods café that has a large menu with tons of options to choose from. Things are baked fresh there, and morning or lunch can be very busy just because everything is right out of the oven. They have muffins that are delicious, and their sandwiches are always an easy choice. They have some seating outside out back that is a nice area to enjoy the weather when it's nice, with a little view as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow this was easily the best or one of the best cafes in Amsterdam! The pumpkin and cheese sandwich was served warm and extremely delicious. The scone was out of the world. Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Together with the lemon curd, it was truly an outstanding combination. Definitely try it out!!
