Bonjour en entrez-vous! Bij Bar Pif kan je neerstrijken voor lunch, diner en nachtelijke cravings, of gewoon een drankje. Benen omhoog of onder tafel.
(Bar) Pif: dat is Frans voor de eerste neus, de eerste kennismaking met de wijn. Daar zorgen wij voor. Slechts een hoek van onze wijnwinkel Rebel Wines verwijderd, schenken we levendige, authentieke wijnen die avontuurlijke neuzen doen kriebelen naar meer. Niets te ingewikkelds want we houden de drempels graag laag.
Vanaf lunchtijd ben je welkom en blijf gerust hangen tot de late uurtjes, vinden we gezellig. Wij zorgen ervoor dat je niets tekort komt. Laat je bijvoorbeeld verrassen door onze plat du jour of kom borrelen tot je aan beide kanten van je stoel valt. Met een glas wijn, een van onze tapbiertjes, of ander lekkers in de hand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing wine selection with knowledgeable staff, and great haute cuisine(-ish) food to go along, all in a friendly and casual setting. The oysters were a treat, as was the liver parfait. The extensive wine cart requires half a dozen more visits to try out.

TLDR: Pretty decor, poor food, great wine, friendly but slow service
Wine:
Really excellent choices of natural wine by the glass + tons of bottles. Our waitress provided nice suggestions and also gave us a little tasting of the wines.
6-9€ per glass.
Food:
Very underwhelming. At first glance, the menu looks interesting and sophisticated. The reality is that the dishes lacked flavor, came out cold, and the portion sizes were really not in line with the price.
Tried the artichokes, fried chicken, oxtail ravioli, croquetas and olives.
None of it really did it for me.

Service:
Our waitress and her colleagues were very friendly and took the time to answer questions. However the service was really slow, they brought out cold food and when I mentioned it they didn’t do anything about it. They also forgot a drink order.
I do have to say that it is not an easy time for restaurants given that they have to train new staff due to corona rules. So that’s understandable yet as a customer I expected a bit more.
Decor:
Cozy restaurant with a modern but relaxed vibe. It has seating in two floors, plus the bar. Layout is well thought out and so is lighting.
Overall:
1 star for the wine
1 star for the decor and vibe

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great evening here! Friday after work drinks with a friend. We enjoyed different glasses of wine, and were allowed to taste some options where we were not sure what to choose. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Also had bread and butter, and 6 oysters with our wine. Recommended to visit in the Jordaan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent experience. Very nice wine list, I think everyone should be able to find something to their taste on this list. Food is good as well, just make sure to order plenty of it as it is tapas style, so no big portions.
