About Bar The Tailor
In 1856, the 22-year-old A.W. Krasnapolsky arrives in Amsterdam. With a tailoring diploma in his pocket, the young man eagerly sets to work, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. After a long day of work, he seeks for relaxation in one of the coffee houses around Dam Square and in 1866 the young entrepreneur decides to take over one of these coffee houses. Herewith, A.W. Krasnapolsky lays the foundation for the legacy we all know today.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came here twice, once by myself and another time with a fairly large group of colleagues. Both times, we were treated extremely professionally and served excellent drinks. The Cuban Mist was one of the best drinks I've ever had (unfortunately being a vegetarian means I couldn't have the full experience -- although my bar neighbor seemed to enjoy it!). My only criticism is that I would have stayed for an extra drink on my first visit, but without any good vegetarian-friendly snacks to balance out the alcohol, I had to cut my visit short.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great cocktailbar located in the Krasnapolsky hotel at the Dam square in Amsterdam. Cross the lobby all the way to the back and there you'll find The Tailor. Classy cocktailbar with some great cocktails on the menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent cocktails! We got the traveling rose and barrage carre, gin based and whiskey based respectively, very good! And they have a small selection of little bites, highly recommend the duck cannoli! Very tasty, the texture is more like tuna and wrapped around by a crispy cone, very nicely presented.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friend and I stopped in for a drink tonight on recommendation of our server across the hall at the (boring by comparison) cafe. Dasha made us the most amazing cocktails. I’m not normally a fan of tequila (or lavender!) but Dasha was spot on when she said both flavors would be mild and balance well with the rest of it. I would 1,000% recommend coming here for a cocktail; just make sure Dasha is bartending! She truly tailors to your taste.

We enjoyed this place but be sure you're going through the right place, bar is located inside the NH collection hotel! We searched this place about half an hour but it was worth it.
