★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great pub& food with canal side rooms nowadays.....art deco style facing grand central station......I read somewhere it was the nazis favourite pub in the centrum, when they occupied Holland.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty 1920 example of the Amsterdam School building style. The building has many faces, including a series of concrete monkeys sitting on the ledges facing the Prins Hendrikkade. On the ground floor there is a nice cafe. Take a picture, but beware kamikaze cyclists.
