★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the place, both inside as well as with nice weather at the terrace. Yet one star less, as often when I order beer or an OJ, for example, they serve the special or make it fresh... thus serving the most expensive option. Would prefer to be asked in advance

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is always busy to one degree or another. I had their club sandwich which offered an egg on the sandwich, something I haven't seen on a club sandwich before. I wasn't feeling particularly adventurous, so I opted out on the egg. Service was really good and the location is basically perfect from a city center perspective.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place for a quick bite, cup of coffee, lunch or diner. Great atmosphere and nice view on the famous Gouda marketplace and townhall. Good and friendly service. Definitely a place to visit. There is also a nice heated terrace.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took a stat for the slow service. I'm american so maybe I'm in a rush all the time. Anyway, I got the fish and chips and it was fantastic. The fish wad very fresh and the chips were crispy. It came with 3 house made sauces all were amazing. The crepes suzette are made table side and are divine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff. Big terrace and a very nice indoor sitting area too. Our lunch was simple, salmon club Sandwich and a chicken salad. Both were very enjoyable. Quick service with a smile.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Despite sitting beside the front door, where the staff went in and out, nobody came to take our order. I had to put my hand out and ask.
In the meantime, others came, had their orders taken and received their food and drinks before we did. We didn’t order anything that required special prep or wasn’t on the menu. Another couple next to us had a similar experience trying to order a cappuccino - they left because it took too long. Ridiculous. Won’t be back
