N	Norbert Schmitz on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Parkplatz (kostenlos) zur circa 1770 erbauten Mühle ist gut beschildert. Ein Wegweiser führt direkt zur Mühle, welche mit ihren 38 Meter Höhe einen majestätischen Anblick bietet. Das in der Mühle gelegene Brauhaus lädt zur Einkehr ein. Leider war der Mittagstisch schon ausgebucht (Corona).Aber das Personal war überaus freundlich. Ich werde sicher noch einmal wiederkommen. The parking lot (free of charge) for the mill, which was built around 1770, is well signposted. A signpost leads directly to the mill, which is 38 meters high and offers a majestic sight. The brewery located in the mill invites you to stop. Unfortunately, the lunch menu was already fully booked (Corona), but the staff was extremely friendly. I will definitely come back again.
G	Geoffrey Worledge on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Also ich kann mich hier den überwiegend positiven Eindrücken und Bewertungen aus persönlicher Erfahrung nur anschließen. Due Coronamaßnahmen waren super. Tische und Stühle wurden nach jedem Besuch gesäubert bzw. desinfiziert. Das Essen war richtig lecker, frisch und reichhaltig. Der Parkplatz für Autos liegt quasi um die Ecke, für Fahrräder gibt es auch extra eine Ecke und daneben befindet sich sogar eine öffentliche Ladestation mit 3 Schukostecker, um sein E-Bike oder Elektroroller aufzuladen. Die Mühle selber ist ein toller Anblick und gibt so dem Verweilen einen noch schöneren Kick. So I can only agree with the mostly positive impressions and reviews from personal experience. Due corona measures were great. Tables and chairs were cleaned or disinfected after each visit. The food was really tasty, fresh and plentiful. The parking lot for cars is practically around the corner, there is also an extra corner for bicycles and there is even a public charging station with 3 Schuko plugs to charge your e-bike or electric scooter. The mill itself is a great sight and gives you an even better kick to linger.
B	Beate Busch on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Schönes Ambiente. Wir waren vor einem Jahr mit einer Gruppe vom Deutsch-Kolumbianischer Freundeskreis e.V., die ihr Freundschaftstreffen in Kalkar hatte, dort. Alle fanden das Ambiente innerhalb der Mühle sowie das Essen super. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Ich persönlich habe das Restaurant danach an andere Personen weiterempfohlen, die auch alle begeistert waren. Selbstverständlich gehe ich selber weiterhin dort essen. Auch ganz großes Lob an die nette Dame die Abends im Service ist, sie ist nicht nur zu ihren erwachsenen Gästen freundlich, sondern auch zu den kleinen Gästen, welche sie mit viel Geduld bedient. Nice ambiance. We were there a year ago with a group from the Deutsch-Kolombianischer Freundeskreis e.V., who had their friendship meeting in Kalkar. Everyone thought the atmosphere inside the mill and the food was great. The service was very friendly. I personally recommended the restaurant to other people afterwards, who were also all enthusiastic. Of course I continue to eat there myself. Also a big compliment to the nice lady who is in the service in the evening, she is not only friendly to her adult guests, but also to the little guests, which she serves with a lot of patience.

D	David Rittner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well, interesting story - We went over to the Roman Camp in Xanten and I was looking for a cosy brewery around. Apparently, I mistakely phoned the brewery and hung up while dialing (we wanted to leave our decision open and the time schedule was not set by then). Two hours later, the owner called me back. I was a bit surprised, but confirmed a reservation for 5 pm. Good decision. The service was fast and friendly and the food was done within a good craftmanship manner. The card provides a small, but fair choice between local varities and 'general' picks. Just one word - If you expect lots of own brewed beers, you will be disapointed. They only have one brand, but this one was subjectively perfect for me (brown unfiltered, slightly sweet taste). Of course, additional TV beers are available (which is not my taste). Anyhow, I really recommend this restaurant. You will feel comfortable in a historical atmosphere.

P	Peter Schmidt on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was enticed by the title "brewpub" that comes up on google but was disappointed that they only brewed one beer, which I didn't find very impressive or imaginative. It was a few months ago, when sit down service at restaurants was temporarily restored. I completely forget what I ordered besides the portions being fairly large. My wife recalls half our food being very good and the other half no very good at all. The location was very nice though.
