Very interesting with about 65 bunkers a museum, and a art exhibition this is a must for everyone who likes history

Would definitely advice to join one of their guided tours, which bring you in a couple of those reconstructed bunkers.

Interesting WWII site. €5 for small exhibition with informative film in Dutch (entrance includes map of bunkers which is otherwise €2.50 but which isn't very informative). There's an English translation of the exhibition available, but not of the film or bunker signs. You can walk 'bunker route' of (empty) bunkers for free - interesting but sterile (apart from the officer's bunker which was dressed with period furniture etc). I assume the locked bunkers aren't empty and are more engaging, but that's yet another €8 for a tour (book a few days in advance) - and other reviews say the tour is only in Dutch.

Very interesting! Seen the fact they've only started digging from 2012 on up, they've already exposed a lot of the bunkers! The stories are great and you can really feel they put a lot of effort in making everything look authentic. I've kept the most interesting pictures for myself, so you can explore the site yourself and be amazed!

Nice assortment of bunkers, partially restored and free accessible. For a small fee a small number of changing expositions can be visited incl furnished living quarters with authentic memorabilia.

I enjoyed looking around the museum site. Staff was friendly and spoke English but there was not any information or tours in English. They would only let you into the largest bunker if you were with a group and the tour groups only spoke Dutch. Very frustrating. I was not allowed into the main bunker at all while I saw Dutch groups going inside. They were private tours. Please get some English tours and info. The Allies were English speakers...

I have come to Terschelling many times and have always thought they should do something with the history and all the bunkers scattered around the island. They did! Awesome to see these fully restored bunkers. I suggest going on the tour as you will get a detailed explanation by one of the tour guides. Lots to see and learn here and a real trip back in time. Hats off to the local volunteers who put in their time and effort to make this happen. Keep up the good work!
