★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No better, more welcoming place to start your day and watch the ongoings of the Albert Cuyp market. Great coffee, tasty sandwiches, ' uitsmijter'. Popular with locals. Friendly services with a smile. Mark seems to speak a bit of all the languages of the world. You can't go wrong to go for your coffee, breakfast or lunch to De Cuyp! It's my favourite place in Amsterdam for my morning coffee!

There was milk on the table already when we (me and my cousin) arrived so when we ordered tea we asked for fresh milk because the one on the table had black dots inside (probably dust). The man who we asked for milk was very annoyed by it and said that the milk was fresh but still took it inside. A minute later a nice woman brought us fresh milk but it was in fact the same because it still had dust inside. I am not picky but I think that it is not too much to ask for fresh milk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped by this place while walking by the Albert Cuyp market, and enjoyed it a lot.
The staff were very pleasant and accommodating, and made our experience really enjoyable. We got hot soup, which happened to be a chicken curry soup, and apple pie. The apple pie was decent, but the soup was really amazing.
Definitely would recommend if you're looking for a place to stop and have a quick bite.
