This herring stall has been in existence since 1916, handed down from father to son, and ONLY sells herring, on a tray, in bread, pickles and onions; and a few jars of great pickled things. It is not connected with the vishandel behind it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The herring looked amazing. However I could not bring myself to eat it. I was in line and watched the man prepare it with his bare hands.… Usually not a problem until he then followed up with taking coins in dollars for his payments not washing his hands in between and went right onto handling the herring barehanded again and preparing it for the next customer yet again taking payment and doing it all over again. Money is one of the germ infested things it gets held by so many hands. The fact that this person would not wash their hands in between handling the food is absolutely disgusting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very strong fishy smell. Would be better to combine with pickles but very stringy on it as requested to buy additional ones but was rejected. Would be great if they can allow to buy additional pickles and wear gloves to handle food especially during corona times.
