★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good service and great taste! The food and the coffee were delicious. Something with our order went wrong and the server was very kind, friendly and in the end, we didn’t have to pay for the food. It’s a bit pricey but it’s located in one of the busiest areas here in Amsterdam so you could expect that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great spot under the outside heaters for people watching whilst enjoying a drink. I’d say reasonably priced considering you are right on Dam Square compared to the 2 other restaurants near by. What more could you want when winding down from a day of sight seeing!

Atmosphere:
As it was 1130am, in a high foot traffic location, it was fairly chill and not too loud. It seemed to be a nice place to grab a drink/pastry and go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a drink here before and although service was a bit slow. I thought the issue was that it was busy. Came here again today. It seemed a bit busy, so I had patience. After aproximately 10 min someone offered to either take the order or let us look at the menu. Since we were hesitating, so we decided to take a look at the menu. 5 min later a couple arrives and sits 2 tables from us. 10 min later they get served while we are still waiting. After another 10 min I got sick of waiting and walked away. The servers passed us at least 5-6 times. Just nothing other than stares from the servers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During our extended weekend stay we have randomly entered Cafe Zwart, which turned out to be an outstanding place thanks to very friendly bartenders and awesome drinks.
Special thanks to Jamie for the hospitality, which resulted in us coming back the next day!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped here for a coffee and a ham and cheese toasty €23 which is ok in the centre. great service and good food, sat outside with screens between us and the next customers, could still talk to the people in the next booth. And a row of good outside heaters running across the booths overhead. Good recommended
