Found this place after a visit to the Maritime museum. So glad we opted to eat here. Had a terrific lunch. Caesar salad with chicken and a chicken and bacon sandwich. Both were amazing. The coffee was delicious also!Highly recommend you try this place if you are in the area. Service was quick and attentive

We were with friends and our kids on sinterklas day. The staff was very nice, also with the kids. Coffee was good. It's cozy inside were we sat with the kids running away from the cold wind. Gewoonlijk Nederlandse publiek.

Very Authentic and Local with Good food and incredible service. Sometimes, you discover places, wandering and are truly amazed by the vibe and ambience and the experience somehow becomes the most amazing one on your trip. We discovered Cafe Orloff, while we were waiting in line for Bakers and Roasters, which is a more known and probably popular restaurant for breakfast. We could not get to the Bakers n Roasters but ended up in Orloff, which turned out to be far less touristy, happy and with a true local spirit. We were served by 3 amazingly pretty, charming and beautiful staff and they made sure that this would be the best Amsterdam Breakfast for us. Sweet, laid back and the food was far better than the overrated Bakers n Roasters next door. Cafe Orloff is where you go to sit, read the local newspaper, talk to a few locals and plan your adventure in the city. The Breakfast Menu, the Coffee, the Service is all excellent and I am surely going back next time we are in town.

Nice little place, we were originally going to Bakers and Roasters but seemed very busy, so we popped in here and we were glad we did, good gastropub food. It is just what you need walking around amsterdam all day, staff were very friendly too!

One of the nicest terraces in the historic center outside the tourist bustle. Great neighborhood hangout. Good selection of beers. Conventional menu. I can't really vouch for the quality of the meals, but have had some good lunches. (I just personally hate "sandwiches" that you have to eat with knife and fork, haha). Pretty good, friendly, mostly young and inexperienced staff, although you do have to chase them down a bit as they seem to prefer to chat among themselves inside instead of wait tables on the terrace. Last week there was a new very excellent server. On Friday afternoons it fills up with shouting expat tech-bros from the Oracle office.

Good food and great ambience. Ambience: (4/5) The seating both outdoor and inside are both great. A nice large space outside makes it great for larger groups evening during the current pandemic. The interior design elements are great and add a particular charm to the entire place. Food: (4/5) Loved the soups!!! And the toasties are also fantastic. It totally feels like comfort food here. I don’t think you would go wrong with a selection on any of the food items on the menu. Great selection. Service: (4/5) Good service overall. It did take a little while for the food, but we were in a larger group, so it was expected. But overall good service. Summary: (4/5) Good option to try. But certainly try the soups, they are both brilliant and perfect as we near autumn and winter.
