★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The first time I was in Amsterdam I decided to do some bar hopping, I visited one first, then went to Cafe Tabac and didn't want to leave, but I went to a couple more anyway.... no, I came back to finish my night there. It was a little late by that time and the bartender (a girl) started talking to me and she was so friendly that some guys who arrived later thought we were friends.
I've been back to Amsterdam a few times again in the past year and that is THE place to go, I love the location, the atmosphere, the music, the beer options and the staff.
I've recommended it to other people and they agree with me.
I'll be there again in a few weeks... I can't wait!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place at a great location - cozy crossroads at the brigde away from the crowd. Beer at a fairly cheap prices. We tried the local fried meatballs (bitterballen) and these were amazing with mustard!

You can have sit outside or inside. We choose to sit inside.
The ambiance is very welcoming. There is a bar and tables. And of course a big Tabac sign at the right side of the bar.
This place is very clean.
The food is delicious and freshly made downatairs. We had a delicious beer from the tap and a sandwich Chicken Tabac.
Delicious.
This is definitely a hidden gem! Well worth a visit when you are in Amsterdam.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cozy place near to the Centraal station. Wide range of draught and bottled beers with normal prices (~4,75€). I really liked the location with the bridges, canal and people. Absolutely recommended in Amsterdam

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place located just above one of the canals of Amsterdam, 10-15min by foot away from Dam square. It has beautiful outdoor seating with a nice view. Beer is not expensive compared to other places in Amsterdam (5€ for 0.5l of local draft beer). Food is nice, tried local specialty - bitterballen and it tasted amazing! Freshly fried balls with meat and ragu, mustard as side, together with beer - perfect snack after long walk. Service was good.
