Service: + Parking - Very grumpy receptionist on check-in. It would have been more personal by using a self check-in computer. - As it was my girlfriend's birthday I was keen on getting her a massage. After I received my booking confirmation I asked the hotel if I needed to make a reservation or if I could do it on check-in. I was told it wouldn't be a problem to arrange the massage on check-in. Unfortunately when we checked in, I was told everything was fully booked. However we could stay for 15 minutes in the sauna at 5pm (which was within 30 minutes upon arrival after 3 hours drive). I understand there are measures in place, because of COVID-19. But misleading information in regards to the massage was very disappointing. Location: + Absolutely stunning Room (senior suite, €359 a night excluding breakfast): + Free usage of minibar + Comfortable bed - Very dark room, just a tiny window that allows sunlight to come in. - Basic, outdated and old. Smells a bit musty too. - Shower is horrendous. Weak pressure and temperature drops intermittently. - WiFi is horribly slow and flaky. Overall: Zero value for money and I would not recommend to stay in any of the hotel suites. When I'll visit this area again I will definitely choose a different accommodation.

Great hotel in a beautiful area. The buildings and gardens are gorgeous. On-site there is a spa and swimming pool that we thoroughly enjoyed. In the well kept garden you'll find plenty of sculptures. The rooms are well equipped and in traditional style. At the time we stayed here, there was a bistro that was very good, and a restaurant which was even better.

High end resort that unfortunately shows the impact of the COVID19 pandemic. Almost all facilities were closed, breakfast and dinner in your room and takes some effort to find a bottle of wine and a location to sit down in the sun. The location, buildings and room (we had a multi level 2 bedroom and living room) are impressive. Love to come back but only when the pandemic is over to be able to enjoy the facilities to.

Not really worth it for 950 euros as the total bill. 2 nights with breakfast and that’s about it. The indoor pool is cold, there’s no hot tub or jacuzzi. We weren’t allowed to have dinner in the restaurant’s external tent cause it was fully booked. We weren’t allowed to have massages cause it was already fully booked when we arrived. All we could do was walk in the nature which was nice. The staff was nice as well. But yea for that price I can rent a mansion villa in Ibiza with flight tickets. Terrible value for money.

2 hours for 2 course lunch is too much even if it is “gastronomic”. But the bottom was when a waiter explained the meal in the most posh way possible. “…and lobster”…. And there was actually no lobster in the dish. Oops. They had forgotten the lobster in a dish which was called “salad with lobster”. If this happens, you get this dish for free. Sometimes also a compliment. We got our lobster pieces on the encouragement that “this is more than standard for this dish”. I was in heavens from rare luck! Yes, it was “gastronomic” food but even taken the time off it was not top. So sad for the establishment which looks so good but turned to be an empty entourage shell.

It was a very relaxing stay in the hotel! The suite is spacious, clean and quite. The furnishings in the suite bring out lots of memories of the old time charm. The food was exquisite, sophisticated and delicious. The staff had great eyes for details. The garden and surroundings are extensive and peaceful.

My wife and I went here for her birthday. The building and the rooms are restored and maintained to a very high standard. The service was pure class and went out of their way to make us as guests feel valued and appreciated. They have various maps for walking routes starting and ending at the hotel grounds. We took one and it was beautiful.

What an experience. We stayed in one of the plush 2 bedroom apartments attached to the hotel. The restaurant is superb if a little expensive. The grounds are full of wonderful art. The only dissapointment was the breakfast which was a rip off. Normally I would have taken off a star for this but the rest was so good I could not justify it.
