Many instruments available in the showroom with different brands. It’s possible, and you’re encouraged to, to try them (also with your headphones if you’re interested in digital pianos). Competent personnel, quite friendly also with beginners who is obviously loving their job and the piano world. Prices are absolutely competitive with online retailers with the advantage of personal, human contact. Home delivery included in the price, you can immediately get a written quotation on the spot. Highly recommended. P.S.: they even came on Sunday morning to deliver the piano. Six stars for that service.

I have just bought a grand piano (vleugel) from the Delft branch. It is the second time I have bought a baby grand piano from Clavis. The first was over ten years ago and was a new Yamaha GBK1 with silent system from Clavis's Nieuwegein branch. Both times the purchase was made very easy for me. I am impressed with Clavis and the service the dealership offers as much or more than I Have ever been impressed by any company ever. For my previous purchase I lived and worked close to the showroom and was able to try out several new pianos. Unfortunately I lost my job and was forced to sell the Yamaha that I chose soon after I had finished paying for it. . With the period of financial problems over I naturally looked to Clavis for my next piano. I now live about as far from Clavis's showrooms as it possible to be without leaving the Netherlands so I bought the instrument without seeing or trying it. I need have had no worries. The new piano is a 1953 Grotrian Steinweg 160 from 1953. It has been restrung, had new hammers fitted and generally serviced and reconditioned. It is a wonderful instrument both in sound and feel. In fact it is in such excellent condition that it could be mistaken for a brand new piano. At under 10,000 Euros it is an absolute bargain. A similar new piano from Grotrian comes in at 40,000 Euros or more. What is more, it can create sounds and tone colours that the Yamaha could not even dream of. I cannot praise Clavis highly enough. All the agreements were made, in a friendly and efficient manner, by phone and email. Free delivery was arranged, despite the greater than usual distance, and a very nice adjustable piano stool was included gratis. I must also praise the Clavis website which just works and is free of the horrible yet widespread misdesigns and bugs that ruin so many sites. Finally I must mention the tremendous rent-to-buy scheme which is, effectively, a discount on the purchase price and makes buying a quality instrument easy, without making a big initial outlay. I give Clavis the highest possible recommendation.
