★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Down to earth cookies, remembering of my grandmother biscuits with walnuts. Excepting Le Fournil's jumbo choco macarons which you can't match so far, Damman has the best hand made macarons in Amsterdam.

But I hear their dark chocolate tarts are to die for.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought some chocolates for friends and when I paid the lady gave me the wrong change loosing money. When I told her, she appreciated my honesty and gave me a sample of chocolate to try. Not necessary to say that the chocolate was as good and sweet as the lady! Thanks

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Looks good on the outside but nothing special. Not very hygienic. Old lady handled my dessert without tongs, and then she handled cash straight after with her bare hands.

They also have a list of specialities. Next time I will try the clafoutis ???
