Ik maak al mijn producten van A tot Z zelf, samen met mijn bakkers. Ik maak geen gebruik van broodverbeteraars of andere kunstmatige toevoegingen. Ook het meel dat ik gebruik is vrij van meelverbeteraars. Mijn brood maak ik met zelfgemaakt vloeibaar zuurdesem, dat een natuurlijk aroma geeft en het brood langer houdbaar maakt. Tijdens de lange rijstijd van het deeg breekt het zuurdesem bovendien een groot deel van de gluten en fytaten in het deeg af. Daardoor is mijn brood goed verteerbaar. Bakken doe ik in een steenvloeroven. Daardoor krijgt het brood een knapperige korst dat de binnenkant tegen uitdroging beschermt. >> lees verder

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little french bakery in Amsterdam! Go early to avoid lines and then just enjoy!
I went there early morning, 0730, to get some bread and pastry for breakfast. There was no line, although you could sense it getting busier.
The choice is huge - they have breads, baguettes, pastry and beautiful cakes. You can see how the dough is being made through a big window.
The service is quick and attentive. The food is extremely fresh and high quality. The prices are very decent - for sure not overpriced.
We had a baguette, croissants, pain au chocolat and some madeleines. All very taste and well made.
Pro tip: go early to avoid lines. They open up at 0700am, so be there and get the freshest batch!

Anything which you will try out over here would be full of taste and freshness. Staff members are super friendly and will kindly explain you about the stuff you point at. Loved their macaroons, pies, olive breads, chicken pasties, try their mustard savory snack too!
During lunch time try out their delicious sandwiches and you might thanks me later
You will usually find a big queue in front of the shop but its worth it :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So i wanted to see what the fuss was about. I can just say. That 30 minutes commute from my house to this place was totally worth it. The croissant was.....how to put it. It blow my mind. They ha e this cute bread bags you can buy. I will definitely revisit this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A real French bakery in this quiet Amsterdam neighborhood. Flaky pain au chocolat! Crusty baguette! Oh my- this made my morning. The wait outside wasn’t too long and worth it for the quality of the baking. With a cheese shop and a coffee shop nearby, this is perfect!
I didn’t like the tart which has a very hard unedible base but the lemon custard was lovely. Just go for the baguettes and pain au chocolat!!

But after all these months, what made me decide to write this review was their Canelé! I visited Paris not long ago and personally found Le Fournil better than some of the well-known/award-winning bakeries in Paris itself. So happy to have this bakery nearby!

The line wasn’t long at the time I reached, and the service was very professional.
I selected a little bit of everything and I wanted to thank a girl for her patience while I was choosing non-stop.
The croissant was marvelous. Can’t get over the “alveoli”.
