They didn't accept 50€ note which was withdrawn from the nearest ATM right before visiting the store. After the refusal, I even went to a bank to confirm the note is not fake. Still they claimed their customer service was right. I was tired of hearing that. Okay, you are right all the time. Just a racist incident.

I spotted a lovely white top on the website so I cycled to the Leidseplein store to try it on. Literally every one in my size was covered in make up around the neck, so I asked the staff if they could call to one of the other Amsterdam branches to see if they had it in stock in my size. They refused, saying that the store would be too busy to answer calls. So I cycled to the Hartenstraat branch, where to my dismay, all the tops were once again covered in make up around the neckline. I noticed that the top was on a mannequin - and in my size - so I asked if I could purchase it. The manager refused, in a very condescending tone - for health and safety reasons apparently. In the past when I have purchased clothing that has a make up mark COS usually take off a small discount - this manager refused to give me anything off. In all my years shopping at COS I always felt that the staff would go out of their way. Today they were obtuse, the manager is a real jobsworth.

Im just mad because they told me to go with a large instead of extra large and all my clothes shrunk in the wash and I cant wear them any more. Their bad advice to me caused me to spend 180 euro on clothes I can't wear and I can't return them because I am in the US and their return policy forbids me from returning them.
