Positive: I never thought to get a so good location to enjoy The new year in Amsterdam..

Positive: Location was very good. Negative: Beds are uncomfortable for couples. And also sheets were stainy. And lots of insects and bugs bit us. And fridge was not working.

Positive: Location. Negative: Having to find emergency accommodation on a friday night due to a bed bug infestation. Previous occupants left a review in Spanish about the bugs but we were not warned. Check in process could have been better, waited outside for an hour in the cold..

Positive: Location, it was perfect for us.. Negative: We waited nearly 2 hours to be let in after not being met at the agreed check in time. There was only 1 towel for 4 people. There was 1 half toilet roll. The coffee machines were still dirty and had no coffee for them. Neither fridge worked. There was rubbish and belongs left from the previous occupant. There were insects in the bed, we emailed before asking if this had been rectified yet we all got bitten..

Positive: The only thing good about this property was the location, amazing location. 5/10 minute walk away from the main strip.. Negative: Right, I don’t know where to start here. The host has been terrible! We arrived there and were let in after 10 minutes. On the website we were told it’s the entire place which then it wasn’t. It’s a shared house thing where the host lives on the first floor, no separation! I contacted the host an he didn’t have much to say. Once we got in there no soap/ hand wash in the bathroom. Had to again contact the host to let him know. The was no iron in the property either. Host was again contacted an I had to ASK for a iron which was then given to us a day later. There were 2 fridges there, 1 in each room. None of them worked which was again pointless! The WORST thing about the whole stay was the bed bugs! Wow, where do I start? Honestly one of the worst things that’s happened to me. I have got bites all over my body! Not just me, but 3 of my other mates. We all got bed bugs from the bed, it was horrible. I didn’t read the reviews properly before booking it which was our error. I had let the host know about the bed bugs, he apologised an said he wouldn’t wish this on anyone. He told me he’d try sort it out by tomorrow. The tomorrow went on for a couple of days. He was ignoring my messages and my calls. An in fact he blocked my number when falsely telling me he’d help us out. I had to then WhatsApp him which he seen my messages and an didn’t reply. I wouldn’t wish anyone to book this place as it is vile. I will be in contact with booking.com as this place is not suitable to be online as it is infected with bed bugs! Horrible experience, not happy whatsoever. We also spent €734 on this place and I can’t believe how the host is being with us/treating us. Shocking....
