★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zeer hartelijk ontvangst door gastvrouw, mooie kamer met prima bed en fijne douche. Alles uitstekend verzorgd met oog voor detail. Heerlijk ontbijt, Absolute aanrader!Fijne centrale locatie midden in de stad.
 Very warm welcome by hostess, nice room with good bed and nice shower. Everything excellently cared for with an eye for detail. Delicious breakfast, highly recommended! Nice central location in the middle of the city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Geweldig verblijf gehad in de werfkelder, echt een aanrader! Unieke locatie, met ruime slaapkamer en badkamer. Het zit midden in het centrum, ontzettend handig! 's Nachts wel even wennen, al die geluiden ;)
Inchecken bij House of Fred, ontvangen door hele vriendelijke mensen. Echt geweldig!
Wat een ervaring...
Had a great stay in the wharf cellar, highly recommended! Unique location, with spacious bedroom and bathroom. It's right in the center, very convenient! It takes some getting used to at night, all those noises ;)
Check in at House of Fred, received by very friendly people. Really amazing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very modern hotel (just opened) with beautifully finished rooms, also the amenities provided were great. The location is central and convenient.
There are two things I disliked about staying:
1) There is no reception and while the shop downstairs functions as a kind of reception but has limited opening hours. This can be unfortunate when your room card suddenly stops working on Monday morning when the store doesn't open until 13:00 and you get looked out of your room with the staffs number inside...
2) The breakfast. Since there is no common room to serve breakfast it is provided by a nearby delicacy store. They bring you the same package every day regardless of preference. What really struck me was the amount of plastic used for breakfast. It served with plastic cutlery and there are many small items packed within so you end up pilling up a small mountain of plastic every morning - not very sustainable. I would just skip it! On the upside there are plenty of great cafés around for breakfast options.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovely designhotel that's true to Utrecht. We've lived on the Steenweg for a few years and it's location is just perfect. Right in the city center, but rather quiet at night because of the perfect 300m distance from most bars/restaurants. The hotel offers privacy, clean and well designed rooms, and the kind of atmosphere you feel at a wellness resort. It also just feels perfect to pick up the keys in the store below. The staff and owner were kind, warm people that gave us a real welcoming feeling. We weren't in need of it, but I'm sure any tips from them are personal, not commercially (think big hotel) driven. All in all, we would highly recommend booking your stay here, especially if you're looking for the more personal approach!
