Natgeregend gearriveerd, na 4 minuten druipend in de hal eindelijk verwelkomd en achterin de zaak om het hoekje aan een tafel gezet, buiten het zicht van de voorkant en naast de keuken. De bediening was ronduit slecht. Engels sprekend in ons geval waarbij de naam 3x herhaald moest worden om de aanbetaling (€100) te checken en geïrriteerd werd gekeken omdat hij de naam niet verstond. Na 20 minuten wachten met nog anderhalf uur tot sluit konden wij eindelijk bestellen, maar het was een uitdaging in de tussentijd aandacht te krijgen. Bij een drankje bestellen werd gewenkt dat we zo bediend zouden worden, maar het mocht toch nog 5 minuten duren. Een glaasje champagne à €17 was heerlijk maar prijzig en de wagyu (aperitief) werd door de keuken uit stukjes plastic gepulkt en mooi opgemaakt. Lekker vlees, maar ik verwacht van een restaurant als dit toch een andere ervaring. Het hoofdgerecht hebben we op advies besteld waarbij mijn partner aangaf wat hij wilde. Toch ontving hij het verkeerde hoofdgerecht en werd moeilijk gedaan over de timing en dat het andere gerecht zou afkoelen als we toch het bestelde gerecht wilde ontvangen. Heel lekker gegeten, de rendang tartaar, ravioli en dorade met kreeft waren smakelijk, maar erg weinig (ondanks de aperitieven en voorgerechten vooraf). Een toetje ging niet meer lukken, want helaas (ook voor Daalder) hadden wij te maken met vervroegde sluitingstijden. Jammer, had een stuk meer verwacht, zeker voor deze prijzen.. Disappointing. Arrived in the rain, finally welcomed after 4 minutes dripping in the hall and seated at a table in the back of the shop, out of sight of the front and next to the kitchen. The service was downright bad. English speaking in our case where the name had to be repeated 3x to check the deposit (€100) and was annoyed because he did not understand the name. After 20 minutes of waiting with an hour and a half to close, we could finally order, but it was a challenge to get attention in the meantime. When ordering a drink, we were beckoned to be served, but it was still allowed to take 5 minutes. A glass of champagne for €17 was delicious but pricey and the wagyu (aperitif) was picked by the kitchen from pieces of plastic and nicely decorated. Tasty meat, but I expect a different experience from a restaurant like this. We ordered the main course on advice and my partner indicated what he wanted. Yet he received the wrong main course and was made difficult about the timing and that the other dish would cool down if we still wanted to receive the ordered dish. Very nice meal, the rendang tartare, ravioli and dorade with lobster were tasty, but very little (despite the aperitifs and starters beforehand). A dessert was no longer possible, because unfortunately (also for Daalder) we had to deal with early closing times. Too bad, I expected a lot more, especially for these prices..
A	A. Spek on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Het restaurant heeft een hele fijne sfeer en prachtig interieur. Het eten is super lekker, ik heb vooral erg genoten van de spruitjes. Het personeel is vriendelijk en verwelkomend. Ze weten echt waar ze het over hebben. Bij sommige gangen werden we bediend door een van de koks, dit draagt bij aan de beleving. Wij hadden gekozen voor het 5 gangen menu met de Wagyu (voortreffelijk) met wijnarrangement. Ik zou zeker nog eens terug gaan! The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and beautiful interior. The food is super tasty, I especially enjoyed the Brussels sprouts. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They really know what they are talking about. At some courses we were served by one of the chefs, this adds to the experience. We had opted for the 5-course menu with the Wagyu (excellent) with wine pairing. I would definitely go back!
U	Udo Goebel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mooie zaak, persoonlijke bediening. Wijnkaart work in progress, maar komt goed. Gideon kookt zijn gerechten hoog op smaak, geef veel voldoening. Ook vegetarisch prima in orde. Nice place, personal service. Wine list work in progress, but will be fine. Gideon cooks his dishes highly flavorful, give a lot of satisfaction. Also vegetarian fine.
M	Manuel Kr on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hele goede ervaring! Ik snap ook de paar negatieve recensies hier niet. Wij zaten in het bar gedeelte aan het raam, zeer ruim (toch fijn in deze Corona tijd). Het eten was heerlijk en het wijn arrangements was geweldig! De bediening was ook top en had zelfs een vervangende contact lens voor mij (die uit mijn oog gevallen was). Uiteraard is het geen goedkoop restaurant maar zeer zeker het geld waard! Wij komen nog een keer terug. Bedankt Daalder Atelier! Very good experience! I also don't understand the few negative reviews on here. We sat in the bar area at the window, very spacious (still nice in this Corona time). The food was delicious and the wine arrangements were great! The service was also top notch and even had a replacement contact lens for me (which had fallen out of my eye). Of course it is not a cheap restaurant but definitely worth the money! We will come back again. Thank you Daalder Atelier!

But the reason I gave 3 stars is because this restaurant is not worth it. The prices are expensive and it is supposed to be a Michelin star restaurant, frankly I have had food of the same quality at a cheaper price before in other places in Amsterdam. Plus the ambience is very noisy, the restaurant is crowded and a simple person with an obnoxious perfume will fill up the entire air in the restaurant, it’s that small a place. So the entire experience is not worth the price or a Michelin star to be honest. 3 stars only because the food was really good.
R	René Goos on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chefs menu was very tasteful in all the variety of the courses and our favorite is the 'anjou pigeon'. Wines that are not common and fit very nicely with every meal. Do not miss the desert wine.
