David Lloyd exploiteert 96 David Lloyd Clubs in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, 15 in Europa (7 in Nederland, 2 in België, 2 in Spanje, 1 in Italië, 1 in Frankrijk, 1 in Duitsland). Daarnaast hebben we 3 Harbour Clubs. We hebben ongeveer 560.000 leden en hebben 6.000 medewerkers, inclusief een team van ruim 1.800 gekwalificeerde gezondheid- en fitnessexperts en 400 tennis professionals.
In al onze clubs, hebben we meer dan 180 zwembaden en bieden meer dan 13.000 groepslessen per week. Onze racketsport faciliteiten zijn ongeëvenaard, met 1000 tennisbanen, 180 badmintonbanen en 140 squashbanen. Wij bieden ook uitstekende coaching programma's voor kinderen en iedere week leren er 25.000 kinderen zwemmen en leren er 16.000 kinderen tennissen in onze clubs. Maar we bieden meer dan alleen geweldige fitnessfaciliteiten, we hebben ook spa’s, lounges met gratis Wi-Fi, crèches, kinderdagverblijven engespecialiseerde sportzaken.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent gym, all modern equipment and many different classes throughout the day. Has a large swimming pool, and good squash courts with weekly lessons. Everything is included in the subscription price. Although fairly expensive per month, well worth the money. The views over the city are breathtaking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything organized well, bur many things need maintenance. For example, showers, workout space with the yogamats, lockers with no locks on it, soap dispensers empty all the time the bar to toy drinks and workout stuff closes too early.....and so on

I thought club tours were meant to invite people to join but this was quite the opposite.
Visited with a confirmed appointment (email+phone). On arrival, the marketing person was conveniently 'double booked' and the front desk lady had to show me around. Apparently marketing meets you only if you are confirming a membership (translation: if they think you appear like someone who can afford an annual membership). At the end, I was told that squash lessons are impossible to get into because of a waiting list and that swimming lessons are available but they have no information on it as it is by an external agency.
I have lived in the Netherlands long enough to understand Dutch directness. But, somehow this was just weird.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This gym is in the high-end price range, but it is more then worth it. They have different services and everything is clean. Separate showers, sauna and you can hire a locker to keep your stuff there so you don't need to bring it everytime you go fitness.
Even if it's busy, the machines are set well apart so you have your own space, also there are multiple machines so the chance that you have to wait is small. Overall, good gym with great and kind service! If you're looking for a fitness club, I'll definitely recommend David Lloyd ??
