★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De Lampegatter is ter ere van het 750 jarig bestaan van Eindhoven in 1982 geschonken aan de stad. De F.E.C. (Federatie Eindhovense Carnavalsverenigingen) en de Club 111 hebben het beeld aan de stad gecshonken. Op 21 februari 1982 is het beeld door burgemeester Borrie onthuld.
 The Lampegatter was donated to the city in 1982 in honor of the 750th anniversary of Eindhoven in 1982. The F.E.C. (Federation of Eindhoven Carnival associations) and the Club 111 have given the image to the city. The statue was unveiled by Mayor Borrie on 21 February 1982.
