★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is super easy to rent a bicycle here, you do not need a deposit, or a credit card and it is the cheapest, they are also super helpful, they condition the bicycle to suit you, I recommend them

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought a second hand bike a few months ago and paid quite a high price, having read good reviews and trusting the shop.
The bike started making a super annoying cracking sound after a few days.
I brought it to the shop for service twice (the second time it took 6 days to have it back) and after a few hours the problem came back.
Maybe I was just unlucky, but now I have a bike that I am too annoyed to use, paid quite a lot, and that I can only bring to another bike shop where they can (maybe) fix, or get rid of.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My bike chain was stuck and they quickly fixed it for me. It was an easy fix. I tried to pay something but they refused. Other shops were saying they would charge 10 euros, while they charged me nothing even when I insisted on paying something.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got scammed by the repairers. I came in with a flat tire and was told to pay 17,50 for a new tube “because my old tube was not the right size”. My bike is nearly brand new (6 months old), and obviously there was no problem with the size of the tube.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ PERFECT PLACE TO WASTE 3 DAYS OF TIME AND HAVE NOTHING REPAIRED
I took my bike one morning to fix my lights and they promised that all would be done by the afternoon . When I came back after work, they told me they didn’t have enough time but “no worries madam, 99% sure all will be fixed by tomorrow” Today (3 days after) when I have arrived again, they finally have recognized that they don’t have the proper cables to fix the lights and the job can’t be done. A total waste of time.
If you are in the area, please go to any other shop in Albert Cuypmarkt. I’m sure they will treat you better/fix your bike

UPDATE: Accidentally I ended up in another shop that they have close to Albert Cuyp, (I had no idea) and the guy remembered me, apologized and fixed the light for free ♥️ So I think it is fair to say it too!! Thanks so much! Super appreciated!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place deserves an honorable mention: Strange rules (Passport Scan + Credit Card to Pay AND 50€ Cash Deposit) for renting a Bike, but thats fine, but the member of staff was the unfriendliest guy i met during my entire stay. If you dont like Tourists, why offer Bike rentals?!
