Where the Ecco franchisee Ziengs from Emmen failed yesterday, I was extremely helpful at the Ecco in the Leidsestraat today.
Under the motto, 'this may not happen within two years' my torn shoe was exchanged for a new pair without any fuss.

β β β β β Extremely poor service yesterday. I speak Dutch but my English speaking friend was offered (after having to ask for service) shop soiled shoes off the display. The shop asssitant tried to argue that they were new despite soiling on the upper and on the sole. There was no sock offered to try on the shoe - we had to ask, so if youβre trying on shoes here beware of fugus.
It was only after i stepped in and complained in Dutch, vociferously, that a new pair of shoes was produced from the stockroom. You are better off shopping at the Gelderlandplein branch which is less crowded and has more professional staff.
Avoid.
