★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Elke zaterdag en zondag kan je voor 50 eurocent met veerpontje Ome Piet mee. Vanaf De Nieuwemeerdijk meert hij af aan de rand van het Bosplan, op 50 m van het pannekoekrestaurant maar ook op 30 m van het fietspad voor een heerlijk tocht door het groen, langs het water! DOEN !!
 Every Saturday and Sunday you can take a ferry with Ome Piet for 50 cents. From De Nieuwemeerdijk it moors at the edge of the Bosplan, 50 m from the pancake restaurant but also 30 m from the cycle path for a wonderful trip through the greenery, along the water! TO DO !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stavo facendo una corsa e non sapevo come attraversare il canale così ho chiesto a loro. Dapprima mi hanno indicato un ponte più lontano e successivamente si sono offerti di traghettarmi dall'altra parte pur non avendo contanti con me. Gentilissimi e simpatici!
I was running for a ride and didn't know how to cross the canal so I asked them. At first they pointed me to a farther bridge and then offered to ferry me to the other side despite having no cash with me. Very kind and nice!
