★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went in for a flat tire on a Cortina bike and asked to have it repaired ( patch the puncture) and left the bike there with them . It took them 2 days to repair it and charge me 35€ for it , on the reason that they don’t patch up inner tubes but they only change them! Total ripoff ! ... it would have taken them 10 min to do a patch but they were only interested to get more money out of me!!! Nobody talked about prices with me or the fact that they don’t do patches when I ve asked to have a flat tire repaired. They took the bike and said comeback in two days, all though nobody was working on any thing at the time! As I s not my first flat tire in Amsterdam , when you have it repaired , rule of normal decent bike shops is if it s patchable you patch it( especially if is in the back and you don’t want to take off the chain cover and back carier. And prices varies from 7,50 to a max of 20€ , so yes when I come back for the bike was absolutely shocked to see a 35€ charge! OUTRAGEOS! Don’t go there if you have problems with your bike! They are rude, unfriendly and unhelpful !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly and helpful. One of the crank-arms attached to a pedal broke whilst biking in IJburg with my wife. We were quite a bit away from home, luckily there was this great bikeshop nearby. They fixed my bike in under ten minutes while we waited for €24.50 (labour and parts).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic friendly service, would highly recommend. Went in seeking some advice and spent a while chatting and got a lot of useful information on gear, and where to go riding. Picked up some spares I needed for the toolkit for my next trip too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I give up. I've tried 3 times to become a customer but every time, they do everything they can to dissuade me. Rude, arrogant and dismissive - sorry if I wasted your time by entering your store with a pocket full of money to spend.
Ended up driving to another shop in Utrecht where the staff and manager treated me with respect - taking the time to help me with my annoying questions, measuring me and letting me test ride - I ended up buying a €6500 racing bike - and in the process, earning my loyalty and business forever. I want to improve my mental and physical health while enjoying my bike so that I stay with it. Visting Auke did exactly the opposite of that every time i visited. Maybe I should thank him for sending me to a much better shop!
Note: Don't go to Auke and settle for terrible service and high prices. You deserve better!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The guy at the till had such an attitude and rude for no reason. I came in to ask about a specific product then was planning to ask for other products that I saw he had in stock and was going to buy to support the local businesses that were crying during the last year. Its outstanding the amount of shopkeepers that don’t understand that service and attitude makes the biggest difference in a sale or no sale. We can buy everything cheaper and better online. I was giving them the merit of the doubt seeing their other reviews, but no every mentions of the rude attitude is indeed correct.
