★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Set in the middle of the forest in a quiet location, about 15 minutes by bicycle from Steenwijk. The personnel was very kind throughout our stay, the room is good, if a little old fashioned. The espresso machine in the room is a nice touch, but only if it works properly, which was not the case. The breakfast is a standard Dutch hotel breakfast. We had better breakfasts than this one, but there's enough variety to choose from to make it work. Overall a nice and pleasant stay. The only thing I would warn against is using the Social Deal coupon for the Fletcher hotels. It's a complete scam, as when you include all the extra payments (weekend fee 10 EUR /pp, 4 star hotel fee (!!!), registration fee) you end up paying the same as booking the hotel without the coupon. This is outrageous, and should be stopped at once.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ nice and quiet located hotel in the middle of the forest. friendly staff and the restaurant is good with the possibility to sit outside in warm weather. a bit limited in the variaty of dishes but what they serve is nice.
the rooms look a bit old but large.
great indoor swimming pool.
from the hotel you can walk directly into the forest.
be aware: in the winter the open environment is very humid.

Very good location, about 20 minutes from Giethoorn.
The dinner was great (restaurant), and the breakfast was full and nice.
In the hotel they have an inside pool, which for me was cold to get in (29 degrees), and they have a sauna also, can be nice for the summer days.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Checked in last night into a family room. Very disappointed by the quality of the rooms. Bare minimal and feels more like a hostel dormitory than a 4 star hotel. There was a very helpful new staff member at the hotel reception who was very kind to bring us a kettle and coffee maker for heating water. However the person who was at the reception in the morning was not helpful. We asked for some mugs in the room but we were told not very politely they will come after breakfast is over in the cafe.
The surrounding area looks good and is in the wild.
But I was really forward to coming back to a beautiful comfortable hotel room when I booked a 4 star hotel after the whole day of sightseeing but that is missing here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ very poor value for money. quite dirty and not at all well maintained, with a strong odor in the bathroom. when the child had a fever there was no antipyretic or thermometer or even staff at the reception. pity in our wallet for such a high price ....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible room standards. We were given a room with a horrible sewage smell coming from the bathroom lingering in the room that was there permanently. This smell was completely unbearable and when I complained they said there was no other room to move us to. Staff did mention that this isn’t the first time that they heard this complaint of the bad sewage smell in a room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful environment and friendly, helpful staff. Dinner is very expensive and passable, nothing great. The buffet breakfast was very good. The carpet in our room was disgusting!!! Probably OK value foroney overall, but we won't go back - I think there ae better options available in the area

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our leisure was amazing. We love nature and beautiful forests . There are a lot of possibilities for creative time spending . Only 2 small thing weren't fine . First was very noisy doors , they slammed all the timed loudly and we could not sleep well . Second thing was the cutlery in restaurant at the breakfast time . Too much guests and only one lady that had to do everything alone so we couldn't find clean table and no forks and knives. Very tasty food ,lovely swimming pool with warm water and friendly service .
