★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Second time Florent for me, food was ok but the two mains were unfortunately to much alike. Too much of a truffle oil aroma, glad we didn’t add the fresh supplement of truffle. Wine pairings were under par, very little explaining “this red wine is from Australia”. Ok.
The first time was great, it’s too bad some elements were missing like the great host I had the first time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Florent is a hidden gem in Utrecht. I heard some good stories about their meals, and the rumors were definitely true. The friendly and knowledgeable crew served a great and complementary 4 course meal. The courses and ingredients were like a great music album were the songs are thoughtfully put in a certain order. Along with each course they also had excellent wine suggestions. Also, they were happy to answer all my ignorant questions :D

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food, especially the steak! Friendly staff and super calm atmosphere. The only thing is the pasta I ordered is just a bit below average. Quite pricey as well. More expensive than some Michelin ranking restaurants we tried.

The food is fresh and of very good quality, which we could especially taste in the main course where we had a delicious fish. Creative and tasty courses, the wines matched perfectly. We really liked the atmosphere in the restaurant & it’s beautifully decorated. Our waiter Giuseppe provided an absolutely outstanding service which made our visit at Florent perfect. Recommend for a date night or any other special occasion.
