Wel een hele wandeling vanaf het parkeerterrein van het herrinerings centrum, ongeveer drie kilometer. Je komt ook langs de radiotelescopen van Westerbork, ook interessant met veel wetenswaardigheden over het heelal onderweg tijdens de wandeling
Although not much of the original transit camp remains, I still think it is an impressive place. Quite a walk from the parking lot of the memory center, about three kilometers. You will also pass the radio telescopes of Westerbork, also interesting with lots of information about the universe along the way during the walk

Great to do with young children!

Time where people were prisoned, tortured , marginalised and eventually killed on racial and religious backgrounds.. more than 100 000 times prisoners of this camp were killed after sending them the concentration camps in Poland and Germany.... Auschwitz camp was one of many.. Anne Frank the famous Dutch little girl who kept her diary was here too.... She couldn't be saved by the coalition forces for she was killed few days before the forces marched in.... A must to see..if you come around Groningen ...
