Bij Gertrude koken we met de seizoenen mee. Chef Amadou Dia serveert eenvoudige gerechten met hartverwarmende smaken, waarin seizoensgroenten en verantwoorde vis en vleessoorten centraal staan.

Ons menu wisselt met grote regelmaat en wordt afgestemd op verse producten in het seizoen. De gerechten zijn heel geschikt om met elkaar te delen, maar uiteraard ook per persoon te bestellen. Wij hebben een mooie wijnkaart samengesteld en we adviseren u dan ook graag over goede bijpassende wijnen bij het menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Surprisingly Good. With maybe few small improvements this could be easily a Michelin restaurant. From the wine to the last ingredient used, everything is top quality and super tasty. The preparation of the dishes was perfect. Every ingredient is well combined with others and they use ingredients that you can usually find in a Michelin restaurant. Portions are small ( not really to be shared, so consider a 5 course menu) and overall well presented. Service was also kind and professional, which is not normal in Amsterdam. Highly recommended

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A perfect neighbourhood restaurant. I shared 5 small plates with a friend and each one was carefully thought through and extremely tasty, a really lovely, delicate menu. The staff were very friendly and chatty, and the interior was chic but relaxed. Highly recommend!

This is NOT one of them. There should be MORE restaurants on the level of Gertrude.
Great food. Good wine list (naturals included, but you can go for conventional when you can't be bothered with the 'funk', good atmosphere (inside or outside).
