★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Deze winkel heeft de klok horen luiden, maar weet duidelijk niet waar de klepel hangt.
Bij de kassa wordt mij gevraagd of ik zelf de producten uit mijn mandje wil halen en op de kassa wil leggen. Daarop pakt de kassajuffrouw de producten beet om ze vervolgens te scannen. Dit alles zonder handschoenen. De kassajuffrouw is niet in staat om mij uit te leggen waarom ze de producten niet uit mijn mandje mag halen, maar ze nadat ik dat gedaan heb, ze wel mag pakken om te scannen.
Antwoord van deze medewerkster: "er zal vast over nagedacht zijn".
Mijn antwoord: "ik denk het vast niet".
 This shop has heard the bell ring, but clearly doesn't know where the clapper is.
At the checkout I am asked if I want to take the products out of my basket and put them on the checkout. The cashier then grabs the products and then scans them. All this without gloves. The checkout lady is unable to explain to me why she is not allowed to take the products out of my basket, but after I do, she can take them for scanning.
Answer from this employee: "it will certainly have been thought about".
My answer: "I don't think so".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ €0,25 cent betalen voor honing bij de munt thee van €2,75. En de honing was ook nog eens kei hard, kwam niet eens uit het zakje.
Pay €0.25 cents for honey with mint tea of €2.75. And the honey was also rock hard, didn't even come out of the bag.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Click en collect: eens maar nooit weer bij Hema Meppel.
Via de website Hema.nl een paar lampjes voor mijn fiets besteld én betaald. Aangegeven dat ik deze wil afhalen bij de winkel in Meppel. Na 3 verschillende mails uiteindelijk een tijdstip kunnen kiezen om langs te komen. Bij afhalen kon het bestelde niet worden gevonden ondanks dat ik zowel mijn naam als ook het bestelnummer heb doorgegeven. Uiteindelijk werd het pakketje ergens gevonden en moest ik (wederom) betalen. Na de nodige discussie kwam de medewerkster er achter dat ik al betaald had. Een eenvoudig pakketje afhalen duurde zeker een kwartier. Bestellen via een online winkel is sneller, net zo duur en zij brengen het dan ook nog eens aan huis. Hema moet nog veel leren en is zeker niet klaar voor online of Click en collect.
Click and collect: once but never again at Hema Meppel.
Ordered and paid for a few lights for my bicycle via the website Hema.nl. I have indicated that I want to pick it up at the store in Meppel. After 3 different emails, finally being able to choose a time to come by. When picking up, the ordered item could not be found, even though I gave my name as well as the order number. Eventually the package was found somewhere and I had to pay (again). After the necessary discussion, the employee found out that I had already paid. Picking up a simple package took at least 15 minutes. Ordering through an online store is faster, just as expensive and they also bring it to your home. Hema still has a lot to learn and is certainly not ready for online or Click and collect.
