★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We found the discount of 5 courses surprise menu from a website. It's located on a nice street, and we had a nice table in a lovely room also next to the windows where we saw the church, very beautiful. The courses were in a relatively small portion, I think 2 out of 5 courses were really tasty and memorable. But on average we weren't that surprised by the dishes. The service there was amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Valentines diner at Prentenkabinet was a real big dissapointment! Called ahead to make a reservation and asked about arrangements for that day. 5 course diner with fixed price was offered on the phone. Received a 4 course meal for the same price instead while dining there. Waitress really went into discussion about it while I even showed her the online offer on their own website. As a fix they offered a simple scroppino which of course is a desert or aperitif, also got something extra with coffee but the mood had already soured because of the first reaction to our complaint. The meals themselves were of a mediocre level I can easily supass at any past and present home cooked family christmas diner. In short: I will never ever return to this very dissapointing restaurant. The only thing going for it is the building itself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a very nice dinner combined with a boat tour through Leiden. The food was very good, starting with cucumber soup, beef tartare and main course veal. Can highly recommend this place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great culinary experience! As starters, we ordered the zucchini dish and the smoked salmon, and for main the mushroom risotto and the rib eye! They were all incredible and we enjoyed every moment of it. Not to mention the deserts: the chef did an awesome job with the desserts sampler selection! The staff was very friendly and kind, and we didn't regret choosing this restaurant for a special celebration's dinner out!
